If you’re reading these statements, you’re probably extremely confused. There are so many candidates running for so many things. So, what’s different about me?

Our campus is at a turning point. College Council has the potential to do so much good. But we can only have an impact if you elect leaders that see College Council as a force to advocate and actually lobby on behalf of students. In that capacity, I have a proven record. I’m the only candidate who voted in favor of taking action on the department cuts.

But with your help, we can fix that. We can establish forums to discuss issues of race on a continuous basis, rather than be forced to react. We can listen to students’ concerns and respond, but only with leaders willing to commit to take action. Support that vision this Thursday, and together we will build a movement for change.

The Emory Wheel was founded in 1919 and is currently the only independent, student-run newspaper of Emory University. The Wheel publishes weekly on Wednesdays during the academic year, except during University holidays and scheduled publication intermissions.

The Wheel is financially and editorially independent from the University. All of its content is generated by the Wheel’s more than 100 student staff members and contributing writers, and its printing costs are covered by profits from self-generated advertising sales.
