For the third straight year, the U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) ranked Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing master’s program as No. 1. On April 8, USNWR released its rankings of various graduate student programs in its annual “America’s Best Graduate Schools” guide.
In addition to its master’s program, the nursing school ranked in the top 10 in its doctor of nursing program; however, the program’s ranking fell from No. 6 to No. 8 this year. Prior to the 2025 rankings, the doctor of nursing program held the No. 6 spot for three consecutive years.
The Rollins School of Public Health saw its ranking increase to the No. 2 spot from its No. 3 spot last year. Tied with Rollins is Harvard University’s (Mass.) T.H. Chan School of Public Health, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor’s School of Public Health and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. This year, Johns Hopkins’ (Md.) Bloomberg School of Public Health held the No.1 spot in USNWR’s rankings for public health schools.
Goizueta Business School’s full-time master of business administration (MBA) program ranked No. 17, rising from its previous position at No. 18, while its executive MBA program dropped to No. 17 from No. 13.
Emory School of Medicine is ranked as a Tier 1 medical research program, designating it among the highest-performing medical schools for research in the United States. In 2024, USNWR began assigning tier-based rankings to medical schools rather than ordinal ranks.
Emory School of Law broke its downward trend from last year’s rank of No. 42 and rose to No. 38. In 2023, USNWR had the law school ranked in the No. 35 spot.
In September 2024, after two consecutive years of falling in the rankings, Emory was able to maintain its No. 24 spot in USNWR’s “Best Colleges” list for national universities.
