– On Sept. 7 at 6:00 p.m., a student parked their car at the Oxford Road Visitor’s Deck. The student says she parked her rental car there and left her 15-inch MacBook Pro on top of the car. The individual thinks that is where she left it. When she came back the laptop was missing. The case has been turned over to an investigator.

– On Sept. 6 at 11:30 p.m., EPD responded to a fire alarm at Xi Kappa Fraternity. Officers determined that a fog machine set off the alarm. EPD met with the social events chair to discuss the situation. The call to the fire department was cancelled.

– On Sept. 6 at 2:32 a.m., EPD responded to a call at Beta Theta Pi Fraternity regarding an individual who was throwing objects at and EMS vehicle from the balcony of the house. Officers found a shattered glass bottle at the scene. Officers met with the treasurer of the fraternity but were not able to identify the subject who threw the bottle. The EMS vehicle was not damaged and Campus Life was notified.

– On Sept. 6 at 1:59 a.m., EPD reviewed a call from a complainant at Zaya at Dooley’s Depot regarding an individual who did not pay for food. The business did not wish to prosecute the individual. Officers found that the individual appeared to be slightly intoxicated and determined that he was disorderly. The individual was asked to leave the area.

– On Sept. 6 at 1:54 a.m., EPD responded to a call regarding an underage individual under the influence of alcohol at Raoul Residence Hall. According to the caller, the individual was intoxicated and had slurred speech. When officers arrived, EMS was already on the scene. The individual said that he had been at the “baseball house.” It was determined that the individual was sick enough to need to be transported to the hospital. Campus Life was notified.

– On Sept. 6 at 1:27 a.m., Emory Police Department (EPD) responded to a call regarding an underage individual under the influence of alcohol at Few Residence Hall. The Resident Advisor on-call called Emergency Medical Services (EMS) when he was unsuccessful in awakening the individual. Later, the individual said he had been at Zeta Beta Tau fraternity and had several alcoholic drinks. He was not transported to the hospital and the Campus Life professional on scene handled the situation.
